What We Value
Jesus and His Work of Redemption
Jesus is the Son of God. His birth, death and resurrection have provided Salvation for us as a free gift.
The Word of God
The Word of God is His will. It’s the foundation of our faith and all we do.
Holy Spirit and His Work
The Holy Spirit has present day ministry and gifts, and empowers the life of the believer.
Believers have the privilege, the right and the responsibility of communication with God.
God is love, so to live in God means to walk in love toward others daily.
An excellent spirit gives glory to God and a good witness before men.
Connection and working together is how the Body of Christ grows and the ministry expands.
What We Believe
The Scriptures - The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by men who were appointed by God and inspired by the Holy Spirit. The New Testament is written to the church and is relevant to the Church today.
God – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe our God is One, and is expressed in Three Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal.
Our Need – Man’s Fall and Redemption
We believe humans were created in the likeness and image of God. But because of sin, all humans are spiritually dead and separated from God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent to give His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God by providing us with salvation. Salvation is the gift of God to man, not from works and the law, and it is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but by Him.
Eternal Life – Being Born of the Spirit
We believe man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that works repentance. In order to be saved and receive eternal life, Jesus said every person must be born again. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life. For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.
Divine Power – Being Filled with the Spirit
We believe every believer should be “born of” the Spirit and subsequently “filled with” the Holy Spirit. This is also known as the “Baptism in the Holy Spirit”, or being filled with the Spirit. This is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers and is received by faith. Being filled with the Spirit gives a believer power for a supernatural, victorious life. The Bible teaches that this experience is received by faith and is often evidenced by the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including speaking in tongues.
Going Public – Water Baptism
Water baptism is a public declaration of the internal work of God in the heart and life of a believer. This is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Real Growth – Sanctification
We believe growth in the Christian’s life begins at the time of the new birth and continues throughout the Christian’s life. It is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit that is a result of the work of the Holy Spirit and the power of the Word of God. This process of growth and becoming “Christ-like” leads to a genuine, Christian life and is a definite, yet progressive work of grace.
Blessings – Divine Healing
We believe that Jesus made available to us a salvation that includes many blessings – spirit, soul and body. God promises to forgive all our sins and to heal all our diseases. Therefore, we believe that health and healing for the mental, emotional and physical ills of the human mind and body is available by the power of God and has been provided for us freely in Jesus Christ. This is the privilege of every member of the Church today.
Things To Come – The Return of Our Lord
We believe in the physical, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that His coming is imminent. When He comes, the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds (what we refer to as the Rapture), to meet the Lord in the air. After this rapture event, we believe the Tribulation, a period of 7 years, will take place on earth. Following the Tribulation, Jesus shall return to the Earth as King of kings, the Lord of lords. Believers will return with Him and will reign with Christ on earth for a thousand years during what is known as the Millennial Reign of Christ.
Final Destination - Eternity
We believe that at the end of days – the end of time – there are two final destinations. Firstly, those who have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour will spend eternity with God in heaven; a real and tangible place of eternal life. Those who die without confessing Jesus as Lord is hopelessly and eternally lost and will spend the same eternity in hell without any further opportunity for repentance. This truth compels us as believers to tell everyone of the free gift of Salvation in Jesus.
